The autumn is colorful on the farm
In late summer and autumn nature turns a page: the trees turn brightly colorful and shed their leaves. Forest animals gather the fruits of the trees to prepare for winter. They build their winter hiding place with leaves, branches and loose earth or they look out for shelter in tree hollows.
Remaining fruit and vegetables are harvested during this time, animals are brought from the Alm to their stables and we are also preparing for the colorful autumn experience here in the family hotel. Mild temperatures and the warm autumn sunshine make everyday life on the farm a real pleasure for young and old.
On a family holiday almost everything revolves around the little ones - our kids want to be pampered and occupied and want to romp around and play every day. We are well prepared for it. Lots of activities and a large outdoor playground with a sandpit, vehicles, trampoline and much more ensure fun moments of play in the fresh air.
In addition to the culinary delights of the ¾ board we offer childcare with numerous indoor and outdoor activities. Otherwise, everything in Oberschwarzach revolves around ponies: stroking, grooming, braiding manes, saddling, riding - our ponies will be pampered with your help.
Autumn is the best time for hiking and for delicious feasting in cozy huts. The pleasant climate at this time of the year drives us out into the mountain air. The mountain comes to rest and it is pleasantly quiet in the region. Nature presents the change in a colorful way and creates a mild transition from the hot mountain summer to the snow-white ski winter. We use the transition period to enjoy life to the fullest: a guided family hike followed by a stop at our Alm is a big hit in the family autumn. Once a week we do the alpine hike with our ponies, followed by cheese tasting, fresh farmer's bread and fresh cow's milk. On that occasion you can also watch the farmers at work, for example when milking the cows. The hike for the whole family offers many other highlights such as the delicious fresh Kaiserschmarrn pancakes, petting the animals and lots of little surprises. There is a lot to discover on the Alm!
For every week in autumn there is a specific culinary theme in-house to pamper our guests with various traditional culinary delights. Our chef Julian and his team are true masters of the top class. A visit is definitely worth it: external food-lovers are also very welcome in our Hotel Oberschwarzach.
