For many parents, vacationing with small children is a big challenge - especially if it's the baby's first holiday. But don't worry, in the Oberschwarzach we know exactly what children and parents need. The gentle mountain landscape around our family hotel offers the perfect backdrop to enjoy nature together with the little ones.

  1. Off into nature: around our hotel in Saalbach-Hinterglemm there are varied and easy hiking and themed trails, some of which are suitable for pushchairs. 
  2. Use our rental service: you can borrow prams, backpack carriers, hiking sticks, tricycles, balance bikes, scooters and much more from our family hotel free of charge.

6 tips for holidays with children

  1. Childcare in summer: In July and August from Sunday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (depending on the program, some evening supervision until 9 p.m.) with an exciting children's program with various indoor and outdoor activities.
  2. Children's ski courses right next to the Oberschwarzach: ski kindergarden for nappy-free children aged 3 to 4 years or children's ski and snowboard courses (from 4 years), in the morning or all day.
  3. Childcare in winter: from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., loving and professional child care for nappy-free children. (Childcare available from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with advance notice). Here we play, have fun and do a bit of sport. During the Advent season, Christmas handicrafts are very popular and, of course, exploring is always part of our childcare program.

  6. Guided barefoot-(sock)-hike: This is a short hike on different surfaces (forest, gravel, meadow, asphalt) with special barefoot (sock) shoes - a guaranteed new walking sensation and an experience for all the senses in nature! You can hire the barefoot socks from shoe or sock size 30 from us.
